Wendy Suares anchors the FOX 25 Primetime News at Nine.
Wendy arrived on the Primetime desk after co-anchoring the FOX 25 Morning News and Good Day Oklahoma with Bill Young. Prior to that, she anchored KARK 4 Today in Little Rock. Her varied journalism career started in her home state of Mississippi as an anchor/reporter at WXVT-TV in Greenville.
While in Mississippi, Wendy earned Associated Press awards for public affairs reporting as well as for news photography. She covered everything from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to cold cases from the Civil Rights era, including the trial of reputed Klansman James Ford Seale. Wendys passion for fair and hard hitting political reporting developed as she covered the state legislature for WLBT in Jackson and five other stations around Mississippi.
Wendy graduated cum laude from Emerson College in Boston. While earning her bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Communications, Wendy co-anchored and reported for the Associated Press' "College News Station of the Year."
Wendy has traveled extensively, including a semester in college studying in The Netherlands and backpacking through Europe. She played college tennis and continues to play competitively when she can. She loves live music and great food.
Most importantly, Wendy is the proud mother of 1 year old twins! She and her husband are excited to call OKC their new home (along with their rescued Labrador retrievers, Jack & Rufus).
