Lauren Richardson is a reporter for the FOX 25 Morning News. Lauren comes to FOX 25 Morning News after a year working at WCYB-TV in Bristol, Virginia also known as the Tri-Cities. Lauren started her television career in Rapid City South Dakota while working at KNBN-TV.

Lauren’s former News Director in the Tri-Cities was instrumental in teaching her how to use her voice and dig deep into stories. She says “even though our morning show is fun and upbeat, I really love covering hard new stories.”

Lauren graduated from Chapman University, and is the only Richardson in 3 generations that did not attend USC.

She grew up in southern Californian, born in Laguna Beach and was raised in the OC. She has 2 wonderful parents who have helped support her professionally when moving across country. Lauren’s Father and Grandfather both play golf and were inducted into the PGA hall of fame a few years ago. They are the only Father / Son team who have won the US Senior AM. She also has an older Brother who plays golf and a beautiful daughter, who’s the light of her life.

Lauren loves to play sports, tennis is her big passion and when she lived in Bristol, TN , she learned to love NASCAR. She also loves animals, spending time with family, friends, and she loves to bake cupcakes.

“I think the reason I choose a career in Television, is because I grew up watching Good Day L.A. I loved to watch the hosts have a good time in the morning and make people laugh. Also I watched to see what they were wearing…the girls’ that is. I think in a way, our show is going to be a little like that...But we are going to highlight Oklahoma and everything that it has to offer…”
