Jeff George is the Storm Watch Chief Meteorologist for the FOX 25. Jeff George has been a weather fanatic (geek) his whole life, his career in meteorology actually started in the U.S. Air Force. As a military weather guy for 10 years, he was handpicked to provide forecasts during high-level visits from members of Congress, the Secretary of Defense, and the President of the U.S. His tour in the Air Force allowed him to get real familiar with the southern climates where he was stationed in Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana. He also spent 3 years forecasting at the base of the Alps in Italy and skiing from the tops. Jeff's last stop in the Air Force in Louisiana led to his first TV job at KALB in Alexandria. It was not a pretty transition, but it eventually led to a full-time gig in Bismarck, ND (still thawing out from that one) then Chief Meteorologist titles in Abilene, TX and most recently Toledo, OH. In 2002 and 2004, he and his Fox Toledo News Team won regional Emmys for Best Local Newscast. Jeff says that TV has been a great ride so far, but his favorite reward has been going to local schools and teaching weather to kids. "There's nothing like watching their face light up and smile!" he says. Even though the weather still continues to be an obsession, Jeff clearly states, "Weather is what I do...it's not who I am. I am a 'Family Man' first and foremost." Other than working, getting involved in the community and exercising "occasionally", he spends most of his time with wife, Angela, and getting dirty with his two boys. Jeff is excited about bringing his passion and enthusiasm for weather to the Sooner state and is looking forward to sharing lots of severe weather experiences with you. You can watch Jeff weekdays from 6-9am on the FOX 25 Morning News. E-mail Jeff: jgeorge@okcfox.com |

Jon Slater is the Storm Watch Meteorologist for the FOX 25 Primetime News at Nine. Whether storm chasing out in the field or tracking the storms in the Storm Watch Forecast Center, Jon has seen and done it all! For the past six years, Jon was the Chief Meteorologist for KOKI FOX 23 in Tulsa. Before that he forecasted the weather in all regions of Oklahoma, and even checked out Kansas City. Jon is a pioneer in the field of storm chasing. One particular stormy night stands out in his mind the most. It was the tornado outbreak on April 26, 1991, when damaging tornadoes touched down across northeastern Oklahoma. Jon's knowledge and skills would be put to the test that night as he tracking the tornadoes alone. Another of Jon's most memorable moments was covering the March 1993 super storm of the century when he broadcasted live reports back to Oklahoma from ABC to New York. He also covered the Space Shuttle Columbia landing at Whiteman Air Force Base Missouri in September of 1999 and has appeared on the Arts & Entertainment channel in a documentary about storm-chasing. Jon has been honored with several awards including a Heartland Regional Emmy Award for severe weather coverage, and has been recognized by the Northeastern Oklahoma American Meteorological Society for his dedication and outstanding service in Northeastern Oklahoma. He has also been awarded with the American Meteorological Society's Board of Broadcast Meteorologists seal of approval for television weather broadcasting. Jon is a member of both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. E-mail Jon: jslater@okcfox.com. |

Danielle Vollmar joined Fox 25 in late June 2009 as the weekend meteorologist. She is excited to be forecasting for the heart of tornado alley! Prior to joining Fox 25, Danielle worked as the mid-day meteorologist for WBOC-TV in Salisbury, MD. While at WBOC, she forecast all kinds of weather including winter storms, severe thunderstorms, coastal floods, and tropical systems including Hanna that moved right over the Delmarva Peninsula. She also had the chance to fly in Chopper 16 and do weather reports from the sky. In 2008, she won the AP Award for Best Weathercast. Danielle has always been fascinated with the weather since she was a little girl. However, it was in eighth grade when NBC-10 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Hurricane Schwartz, came to her school for Career Day and did the weather live that she decided she was going to be a meteorologist on television. Because of that experience, she loves visiting local schools to talk about the weather and hopes she too can inspire kids to love the weather! To pursue her dream, she went to Cornell University where she graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Science and a minor in Communications. While at Cornell, she worked as a fill-in meteorologist at WENY-TV in Elmira, NY. She also interned at ABC 7 News in New York City and NBC-10 News in Philadelphia under her mentor Glenn Hurricane Schwartz. Danielle's most memorable weather experience was chasing Hurricane Frances in 2004 down in Fort Pierce, FL. She said it was an eye-opening experience that gave her a new respect for the power of mother nature. She is excited about living here in Oklahoma City and can't wait to chase her first tornado! Originally from Lansdale, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, Danielle is a big Philly sports fan! When not working at FOX 25, she likes to workout, hang out with friends and family, and cheer on her teams especially the Eagles. An avid football fan, she is excited to cheer on the OU Sooners! Although she will miss the Delaware and Maryland beaches, she is thrilled to hang out by the lakes! Danielle recently was awarded the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal from the American Meteorological Society. She is also a member of the American Meteorological Society.
