M.I.A.: FINGER FLIP AFTERMATH
NEW YORK (AP) -- Less than a second stood between British singer M.I.A. giving the finger to 114 million people watching the Super Bowl halftime show and no one noticing at all. That's how close NBC censors came to preventing the gesture from being seen Sunday night. M.I.A.'s record label has said it had no comment and her Twitter account had nothing on it the day after. But how many people REALLY saw it? Tivo says there were no appreciable bumps in playbacks at the time of M.I.A.'s gesture, meaning many people either didn't see it or shrugged it off. A Time magazine TV critic says he had no idea she'd even done it until NBC issued an apology for it. Others also say they didn't notice the gesture.
CHRIS BROWN: SOURCE SAYS CHRIS BROWN TO PERFORM AT GRAMMYS
NEW YORK (AP) -- Add another name to the list of performers at the this year's Grammy Awards. A source tells The Associated Press Chris Brown will take the stage at the event where his career almost ended three years ago. He admitted to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna at a pre-Grammy party in 2009, and his reputation plummeted. But he has since bounced back. His multi-hit album, "F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies)" is nominated for three Grammys. Rihanna will also perform at the show. She's up for four awards. Brown and Rihanna were supposed to perform at the 2009 Grammys.
NEW YORK (AP) -- J. Cole is ready for the Grammys. His debut album, "Cole World: The Sideline Story," gets him a best new artist nomination. He's all set for the ceremony, too, with a suit he calls "fire." He adds he's forgotten what it's like to wear a suit but he says this one feels good.
J. Cole says he knew he had to hit the cut-off date for Grammy consideration with his debut album.

VIOLA DAVIS: NOT A GLAM WOMAN
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Viola Davis may get dolled up for award shows but she says she's not usually all made up and looking fine. The Oscar nominee, who recently won a Screen Actor's Guild Award for her role in "The Help," says "If you guys could see me when I'm at home with my cornrows." Davis says she's "not a glam woman," and looking fancy is a mask for the public. She says her biggest fear is that paparazzi might get a shot of her in her backyard when she's getting into her pool. She says, "that would be very unfortunate."
Viola Davis says she's not used to dressing up so much, as she's been doing during awards season. ((longer version of cut in wrap))
OCTAVIA SPENCER: IN AWE OF FELLOW OSCAR NOMINEES
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Octavia Spencer is nominated for an Oscar. And she may have recently won both a Screen Actor's Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award for her role in "The Help," but she's still in awe of some of her fellow actors. She says she's star-struck being in the same room with superstars she has admired during her career toiling in small TV and film roles. She says sometimes she finds herself ogling them, but they're really just a bunch of normal people who happen to be named Glenn Close and George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
CINCINNATI (AP) -- Just hours after playing in the Super Bowl, New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge in Cincinnati. A judge has fined him $200 and ordered him to pay $104 in court costs. A Hamilton County court bailiff says the former Cincinnati Bengal pleaded guilty to failure to display a valid driver's license during a traffic stop in July. According to court documents, Ochocinco was originally charged with driving with a suspended license and a window tint violation. They also say his out-of-state driver's license was suspended. The bailiff says he has a valid license now.
JAMIE GRACE: HOPES HER TOURETTE'S BATTLE WILL ENCOURAGE OTHERS
ATLANTA (AP) -- When Jamie Grace performs music, all of the uncontrollable facial twitches and involuntary body movements called tics become an afterthought. The 20-year-old singer, who's up for a Grammy this year, has battled Tourette's syndrome for nearly half of her life. She says she wants to use her first trip to the award show as a platform to share her story and motivate others. She says she's not the only person with something in their life they can't control. Grace says it's all about taking control over what she can. She hopes to encourage other kids who are going through crazy stuff, too. Grace's song "Hold Me," featuring TobyMac, is nominated for best contemporary Christian music song.
