Mom Faces 11 Charges After Arrested for DUI with an Infant in the Car
Police pull over a woman for having a cracked tail light and discover she was wanted on two warrants and is now facing eleven new charges.
Police pulled over Nancy Nolan, 32, on Thursday near NE 23rd and N. Hood after an officer noticed her tail light was cracked.
When the officer approached the car, he said a small infant was inside the car but was not buckled into a car seat.
The officer said Nolan appeared drowsy and lethargic and she was sluggish while she fumbled through papers trying to find her insurance information. The officer also said he could smell alcohol coming from the passenger's side of the car.
When she was asked to step out, the officer said she had a smell of alcohol on her breath and appeared intoxicated. She was arrested for DUI and refused to take a breathalyzer.
The officer searched her name and found her license was suspended and she had two warrants for her arrest: DUI and speeding.
She was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail and was searched. Police say they found 3.75 grams of marijuana inside her bra.
Nolan is facing 11 charges: child endangerment, driving under influence, driving under suspension, child restraint violation, poss of controlled drugs in presence of child under 12, DUI, driving under suspension, illegal defective lights, and child restraint violation.

More severe storms in the offing for Oklahoma
May 19, 2013 18:39 GMT
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Storm Prediction Center in Norman says there is a risk of strong tornadoes in a storm system developing in central Oklahoma.
Forecasters say storms are expected to form Sunday afternoon evening and that the advised area includes portions of Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
The center says moist and unstable conditions are meeting upper-level winds that have the potential to spin off tornadoes. Forecasters say large hail and damaging winds in some areas are also possible.
Officials say residents should monitor reports for possible watches, warnings or weather statements later in the day.
State and local emergency managers are monitoring conditions.
