Suspected Kidnapper Remains At-Large After Home Invasion
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK-- Oklahoma City Police say one suspect remains at large after a home invasion and kidnapping in Northwest Oklahoma City.
Police say two suspects broke into a home on the 16300-block of Okalee Lane and kidnapped an adult female, officers have not released the woman's name.
"It's kinda scary because I do live by myself," said Debbie Pardue, who lives in the area.
Pardue says she saw several patrol cars outside her home late Saturday night, her two dogs were barking as helicopters circled the area .
"I walked out to see what was going on," Pardue recalls, "and [the officer] said 'ma'am get back in your house immediately.'"
Nick Smith lives two doors down from where the break-in happened, with children living in his home, the crime scene is too close for comfort.
"Just really makes us nervous now," he said.
Police found the missing woman three miles away, near Featherstone Road and Windy Ridge Road. Officers located her within an hour of the home invasion.
Police also arrested one suspect who fled the scene on foot, but are still searching for a second male suspect. If you know anything that can help, call Oklahoma City Crimestoppers at 405-235-7300. You can remain anonymous.
