Police: Body Found in Burned Home Shot Before Fire
Norman Police say the victim found in a fire Wednesday was shot before the fire was started.
According to Norman Police, Patrick D. Burton, 51, was found dead inside his home at 619 Villa Dr. after firefighters extinguished a blaze.
Late Thursday, the Medical Examiner said Burton died as a result of a gunshot and has classified the death as a homicide.
Investigators say the fire and his death are suspicious but they are still processing and collecting evidence from the scene.
Officers believe someone drove the victim's truck from the scene. It's described as a white, 2004 extended-cab Chevrolet with Oklahoma license plate 088 AXI.
The truck has white, louvered taillight covers, white, louvered covers over the rear side windows, a NASCAR license plate on the front bumper, a cow bell hanging from the rear bumper, and a hard white bed cover.
Anyone seeing the truck is asked to notify their local law enforcement immediately.

More severe storms in the offing for Oklahoma
May 19, 2013 18:39 GMT
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Storm Prediction Center in Norman says there is a risk of strong tornadoes in a storm system developing in central Oklahoma.
Forecasters say storms are expected to form Sunday afternoon evening and that the advised area includes portions of Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
The center says moist and unstable conditions are meeting upper-level winds that have the potential to spin off tornadoes. Forecasters say large hail and damaging winds in some areas are also possible.
Officials say residents should monitor reports for possible watches, warnings or weather statements later in the day.
State and local emergency managers are monitoring conditions.
