Woman Dies in Overnight Crash, Interstate 40 Open
All lanes of westbound I-40 are now open after a deadly crash early Thursday morning.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers tell us a woman was driving Northbound on Mustang Road, when she jumped a curb going the wrong way on the off ramp to the highway.
They say she was driving East in the Westbound lanes of I-40 when she hit a semi head on. That crash spun her into another semi on the highway.
She died at the scene.
Troopers shut down I-40 between Morgan Rd and the Kilpatrick for clean up crews to clear the scene. They have now reopened one of those westbound lanes.
The woman is not from Oklahoma, so they are not releasing a name until they notify next of kin.
Troopers are also investigating the possible use of drugs and alcohol.

Okla. AG seeks execution date for convicted killer
May 21, 2013 01:40 GMT
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Attorney General Scott Pruitt is asking for an execution date for a man convicted in the 1979 slaying of a woman in Tulsa.
Pruitt on Monday said in an appeals court filing that Anthony Rozelle Banks had exhausted his appeals. The U.S. Supreme Court earlier in the day turned away a request by Banks for a hearing.
The 60-year-old Banks wasn't charged until 1997 when he and a co-defendant were linked by DNA evidence to the killing of 24-year-old Sun "Kim" Travis.
Travis was kidnapped from a parking lot in Tulsa, raped and shot in the head.
Pruitt asked the Court of Criminal Appeals to set an execution date within 60 days or at the earliest date it deems fit.
