Sex Offender Living with Minor
A registered sex offender is arrested while living with a 13-year-old.
Police say Karl Endres, 40, was living with the teen and the teen's mother in a trailer in southeast Oklahoma City.
A 911 caller told police the 13-year-old boy was living in unlivable conditions in the trailer and a sex offender was also living at the address.
When an officer arrived, he reported smelling a strong odor of feces coming from inside the home. The officer said a woman answered the door and said the teen was her son. She also told officers that there was a sex offender living at the address and said "I don't mind living with sex offenders, it's no big deal. Everybody deserves another chance. My father was a sex offender."
Endres told the officer he was homeless and used to live in a tent near I240 before living in the trailer. Police arrested Endres after learning he had a felony warrant out of Canadian County and a misdemeanor warrant out of Kingfisher County.
Police then went inside the trailer to investigate the living conditions and said they were unable to open the door all the way because of cluttered items and piles of trash in the living room. An officer said he also got his foot caught in a hole on the entry way and saw feces smeared on the floor.
Police also found dirty clothes throughout the home, a full trash can overflowing with trash, leftover food scattered throughout the home, dirty dishes overflowing from the sink, and a "large amount" of roaches and other insects crawling all over the counter. Police also reported several large holes in the floor throughout the trailer.
The Department of Human Services took the teen into custody and arrested the sex offender.

Lanes reopening near Shawnee but delays expected
May 20, 2013 12:28 GMT
SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) -- Officials say drivers should expect delays on Interstate 40 in Shawnee as crews continue to clean up storm debris.
Westbound Interstate 40 was closed Sunday night at U.S. 177 after storms ripped through the area. U.S. 177 was also shut down because of vehicle accidents caused by the severe weather.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says northbound U.S. 177 at I-40 was reopened as of 7 a.m. Monday. Westbound traffic on I-40 is narrowed to one lane, but all lanes are expected to reopen later Monday morning.
Officials say drivers should expect congestion in the area or pick an alternate route.
