Officials Identify Man hit by Car Monday
Officials say the man hit while crossing Lake Hefner Parkway is expected to recover.
Officials say 59-year-old Timothy Tiffle was crossing the northbound lanes when
he was hit by the truck just after 4:00 p.m. According to police, he was
taken to the hospital and is stable.
Traffic on northbound Lake Hefner Parkway was backed up from NW 50th St. to NW 23rd St.
After the man was hit, the driver of the truck left the scene. Police detained two juvenile suspects near Northwest Expressway and MacArthur Ave. in relation to the hit and run.
The driver, a 16-year-old male, was charged in the incident.

Search continues in creek for missing Okla. teen

KINGFISHER, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities continue to search for a Kingfisher teenager who disappeared after jumping into Uncle John Creek.
Police say 17-year-old Taylor Faine jumped into the creek Thursday and did not resurface. Kingfisher Fire Chief Randy Poindexter told The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/10s2oB6 ) on Saturday that manmade dams have been built in hopes of finding Faine's body.
Authorities say Faine was swimming with friends in an area where no swimming signs are in place because of dangerous currents in the creek.
