UPDATE: Police Investigating Shooting of 11-Year-Old
An 11-year-old boy was shot at an apartment complex in northeast Oklahoma City Saturday night, police said. It happened at about 7:00 p.m. at the Sooner Haven Apartments at NE 36th St. and N. Lottie Ave.
According to authorities, the boy was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was shot once. Police said the boy was awake and alert in the ambulance. They said he ran to a neighbor's apartment for help after the shooting.
Police said they have no suspects and were not able to locate any witnesses.
"We've got an 11-year-old child shot while he was outside playing, why people wouldn't feel comfortable helping an 11-year-old child is something I don't understand," said Lt. Rob Coniglione, with Oklahoma City police.

Search continues in creek for missing Okla. teen

KINGFISHER, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities continue to search for a Kingfisher teenager who disappeared after jumping into Uncle John Creek.
Police say 17-year-old Taylor Faine jumped into the creek Thursday and did not resurface. Kingfisher Fire Chief Randy Poindexter told The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/10s2oB6 ) on Saturday that manmade dams have been built in hopes of finding Faine's body.
Authorities say Faine was swimming with friends in an area where no swimming signs are in place because of dangerous currents in the creek.
