Father of Connecticut Gunman Claims Body for Burial
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- The father of the gunman who killed 26 people in a Connecticut school shooting has claimed his son's body for burial.
A spokesman for the family said Monday that Peter Lanza claimed the remains of Adam Lanza.
The 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed 20 first-graders and six adults at the Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14. He also killed his mother in their Newtown home before going on the rampage and then committing suicide.
A private funeral was held earlier this month in New Hampshire for his mother, Nancy Lanza, who was divorced from Peter Lanza.
Peter Lanza lives in Stamford, Conn., and is a tax director at General Electric.
Police have not offered a motive for the killings.

Suspect caught in series of Stillwater robberies
May 23, 2013 07:46 GMT
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Police in Stillwater say they believe a suspect in custody is responsible for a series of store robberies that began in January.
Police Capt. Randy Dickerson said Tuesday that 24-year-old Jackson Pascal Rwezaula is held on complaints for two of the robberies.
The Stillwater News-Press reports (http://is.gd/GLCxxC ) Rwezaula (weh-zahl-uh) refuses to speak to investigators.
Dickerson said the robberies confounded police for months, to the point that the investigation became personal.
Officials say the suspect's face showed up clearly in a security image from one of the robberies and a tipster gave Rwezaula's name.
Police say they recovered disguises and other evidence allegedly linking Rwezaula to the crimes.
