McClain County Sheriff Deputies On The Scene Of A Standoff
McClain County Sheriff Deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol are at the scene of a standoff just North of Blanchard, according to the McClain County Sheriff. Police said they were informed of a stolen car near the 353 block of County Line Road by Onstar. When officers approached the home to confront the residents on the location of the car, they said the residents barricaded themselves inside a home. Two to three adults who may be armed are believed to be inside the home, according to police. Investigators do not believe there are children inside the home. Investigators are speaking to residents near the home and have blocked off roads in the area. More details as they become available.

Okla. reopens emergency operations command center

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management has reopened its emergency operations center as strong storms moved through central Oklahoma just days after a deadly tornado.
Department spokeswoman Keli Cain said Thursday that the center is open. The department had previously announced that the command center would be shut down at Wednesday at midnight.
Storms with heavy rain and hail began falling in the area early Thursday morning and prompted flash flood warnings in central Oklahoma.
The storms come after a massive tornado struck Moore on Monday and left 24 people dead and more than 300 injured.
