OKC Seeking Comments on Proposed Downtown Entry
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma City officials are taking comments on what a key intersection in the proposed Oklahoma City Boulevard should look like.
The boulevard will run along the south side of downtown, on the old Interstate 40 corridor, and it is being billed as a "premier entryway" into the city.
Two alternatives call for bridges to be built where the boulevard intersects with Western Avenue. Also under consideration are an intersection with traffic lights, and a roundabout.
Conceptual drawings are available through a city website: www.okc.gov/okcblvd
The drawings will also be presented Monday evening at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center, and that meeting will be broadcast online.
The boulevard is to include on-street parking, 15-foot sidewalks and landscaping, with work beginning next year.

2 arrested in death of woman near Cushing

CUSHING, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says two men have been arrested in the death of a Cushing woman.
The agency said Saturday that the two were arrested Friday night for the death of 32-year-old Amber Nicole Sporleder of Cushing. The OSBI says the two men are being held in the Payne County jail -- but formal charges have not yet been filed.
Sporleder's body was found about 6:30 a.m. Friday along a county road northeast of Cushing. Her body was sent to the state medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
