Food Frenzy Underway as Oklahoma Prepares for Thanksgiving Dinner
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Oklahoma City chefs and volunteers spend hours in the kitchen cooking a Thanksgiving feast for more than 500 families.
The meal they prepare will be delivered to AIDS and HIV patients in the metro. This is the tenth year the non-profit "Other Options" has been cooking a traditional Thanksgiving meal for its clients.
While local chefs volunteer their time to help, families across the metro pick up last minute items to pull off their own Thanksgiving meals.
The Meat House in Edmond has been selling pounds of fresh, free-range turkeys for the holiday, but that's not all. Steaks have also proven to be a big seller for families looking to eat something other than turkey on Turkey Day.
