Enid Police Need Help To Identify Purse Thief Suspect
Enid Police need the help of the community to identify a man who took a purse from the employee locker room at Bass Hospital, 600 S. Monroe, on October 26. The victim told police she went to work on October 26 at 4:30 AM and placed her purse containing her belongings on the table in the employee locker room. The suspect as a white male who was wearing a black coat, camouflage hat, black and white tennis shoes, blue jeans and a tan sweater with dark colored stripes. The suspect also has some type of facial hair that is described as being a beard or long sideburns and goatee. Anyone having information that will lead to the arrest or prosecution of this or any crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (580) 233-6233. You can also text a tip from a cell phone by texting to 274637. Be sure to type “Enid” in the subject field. Tips can also be submitted via the internet by going to tipsoft.com. You can earn a reward up to $1,000.00. You will not be required to testify and will not be identified. Callers may also contact the Enid Police Department with information.

Line of storms brings flash floods to OKC area

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The National Weather Service says a slow-moving storm system over central Oklahoma is causing flash flooding.
Forecasters suggested people delay travel in the Oklahoma City area Thursday morning because street closures were expected because of high water.
The area was under a severe thunderstorm warning for a time early Thursday.
The weather service says there is a slight risk severe of thunderstorms into the afternoon in a broad section of western Oklahoma. Hail up to the size of tennis balls and winds of up to 70 miles per hour are possible. There is also a possibility of tornadoes in the risk area.
