Crumbling Capitol Repairs
Nearly a century old and the Oklahoma Capitol is literally crumbling. Past legislatures have allowed the maintenance and repair of the seat of Oklahoma government to be let go to the point where it is decaying ind side and out. State officials took Fox 25 on a tour of the Capitol to show us everything that needs to be fixed. From old broken pipes and electrical wire to pieces of stone falling off the outside walls, total cost for repairs is estimated at $153 million according to a recent state study. Governor Mary Fallin said repairs were a major priority last legislative session, but despite that declaration, legislators passed no legislation to fix any part of the Capitol. Capitol repairs are expected to be a hot issue once again this upcoming session, and both Democrats and Republicans have their own ideas of how to pay for it.

Oklahoma interstates open, but traffic slow moving
May 21, 2013 14:39 GMT
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Officials say all of the interstates through the tornado-ravaged areas of Moore and Oklahoma City are open, but traffic is moving slowly.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports portions of Interstates 44 and 35 that were shut down after Monday's deadly tornado were reopened about 10 p.m. Monday.
Capt. George Brown says all lanes of I-35 through Moore are open, but that traffic has slowed to a crawl where the tornado crossed the interstate. Heavily damaged homes and businesses can be seen on both sides of the north-south thoroughfare.
Interstate 44 west of Moore also was shut down Monday because of downed power lines across the roadway.
The OHP reports there are 68 roadblocks still set up within the city of Moore and that travel in the area is discouraged.
