Delays Possible On I-35 At Oklahoma-Texas Border
THACKERVILLE, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says construction work could cause major delays on Interstate 35 at the Oklahoma-Texas border. Highway officials say all lanes of southbound Interstate 35 will be detoured to a service road about six miles south of the Oklahoma-Texas border at the junction of I-35 and U.S. 82. The detour begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday and is scheduled to end 7 a.m. Wednesday. Texas crews will be working on a bridge project. Highway officials say significant delays are possible and traffic could extend back to the Oklahoma border. Drivers are urged to plan for extra time while making travel plans.

Search continues in creek for missing Okla. teen

KINGFISHER, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities continue to search for a Kingfisher teenager who disappeared after jumping into Uncle John Creek.
Police say 17-year-old Taylor Faine jumped into the creek Thursday and did not resurface. Kingfisher Fire Chief Randy Poindexter told The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/10s2oB6 ) on Saturday that manmade dams have been built in hopes of finding Faine's body.
Authorities say Faine was swimming with friends in an area where no swimming signs are in place because of dangerous currents in the creek.
