Presidential pop: Barack O'Berry or Cream de Mitt?
When deciding who you'll choose for President, will you use your taste buds? Pops, the popular diner and soda shop in Arcadia, is allowing you to do just that. With over 650 different flavors of soda, the shop just added two more-- "Barack O'Berry" and "Cream de Mitt"-- from Avery's Beverages in Connecticut. "Last election, we had John McCream and Barack O'Berry," says Marty Doepke, General Manager of Pops. "The Barack O'Berry, which is blue, of course; it's kind of a lemon and blue raspberry. Cream de Mitt is red. It's a peaches and cream flavor. Fox 25's Kisha Henry put the pops to a popular vote, asking customers to do a taste-test. "Flavor-wise, I'd probably like the Romney one a little bit better," says one customer. "Ummm... probably blue," decides another. "We've had a lot of inquiries about which one's selling better," says Doepke. "The first two-and-a-half weeks, we were literally neck-and-neck almost to the bottle, every day. But, over the last week-and-a-half, we've really seen Barack O'Berry take-off. It's out-sold the Cream de Mitt by quite a bit over the last week-and-a-half." Pops says the bottles are in their top-ten list of flavors, and are flying off the shelves. "The Laura Bush and Ann Romney fundraiser that was here last month served quite a bit of the Cream de Mitt," says Doepke. Employees don't expect their supply to make it to election day. They also think there might be a correlation between the most popular pop, and who we pick for President. "The last election, Barack O'Berry outsold the John McCream about four-to-one," says Doepke. Pops welcomes you to pop a top while you ponder the Presidential candidates, but whatever your favorite flavor, some say you shouldn't let the soda swing you. "Look at all the individual issues and make a decision for yourself," says one customer. After the Presidential election, the winner will have their soda-flavor go back into production for the rest of the year.

Friends remember `The Wall' after Okla. tornado
May 24, 2013 16:47 GMT
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Friends and teammates of Kyle Davis attended the boy's funeral wearing soccer jerseys bearing the number "16."
A funeral was held Friday for the 8-year-old, known by his soccer teammates "The Wall." His teammates wore their own jerseys, and adults and others in the crowd wore shirts reading "K. Davis 16."
Soccer coach Landon House said Kyle inspired him to remain in coaching, telling him during an especially cold practice last fall that he really loved the game. House said the child had a positive attitude toward life, soccer and his teammates.
Kyle was among seven children killed when the Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore collapsed when hit by an EF5 tornado Monday.
Monday's storm killed 24 people, including 10 children. Another twister Sunday killed two men at Shawnee.
