Sentencing Hearing Starts For Shaun Bosse
The sentencing hearing for Shaun Bosse started Tuesday morning. Just a day after he was found guilty of killing his girlfriend and her two children back in 2010.
The state is asking for the death penalty.
"There are aggrivating circumstancesin this case that make it eligible for the death penalty," said McClain County District Attorney, Greg Mashburn.
The first witness to take the stand was the deputy Shuan Bosse attacked when he excped from jail in June 2011. The witness gave a detailed account of what happened that day.
"It shows the aggrivated circumstancesof he's a continued threat because he escaped from custody," said Mashburn.
The other deputy involved that day was the next to take the stand. She told how Bosse forced her to give him her car keys andleft the jail in her car.
The state has several victim statements set to be heard later today and tomorrow including the family of the victims.
The jury is expected to deliberate Friday.

Tornado watch issued for western, central Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A tornado watch is in effect for western and central Oklahoma.
The weather system brought severe thunderstorms to the Altus and Clinton areas, as well as Harper County late Saturday afternoon. There were no reports of rotation as evening approached but the tornado watch lasts until 11 p.m. Saturday.
The dangerous weather is forecast to continue into Sunday night as the system progresses to the east.
The tornado watch area Saturday stretched from eastern edge of the Panhandle to include the Oklahoma City area.
Forecasters warn that the system could also bring large hail.
The National Weather Service in Norman reports tennis ball-size hail along U.S. 62 near the border of Harmon and Jackson counties in the state's far southwest.
