Arkansas Police Arrest Oklahoma Couple for Counterfeiting
FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) -- Police in Fort Smith have arrested two people accused of printing counterfeit money.
Authorities said Wednesday that 34-year-old Summer Marie Coram and 29-year-old Matthew Lewis Counts of Muldrow, Okla., were arrested at a Fort Smith motel for first-degree forgery.
It was reported that a confidential informant told police that Coram was producing fake currency. Police conducted an undercover investigation, using the informant to meet Coram and Counts at the motel to obtain counterfeit money.
Police say Coram and Counts allegedly traded counterfeit money for illegal narcotics, and also used the fake money to buy electronics on Craigslist.
Both were being held without bond at the Sebastian County Jail.

Tornado hits OKC suburb, kicking up debris

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- A tornado kicked up debris in an Oklahoma City suburb and threatened a number of tourist attractions on historic Route 66 before growing into a larger storm that rolled across rural parts of central Oklahoma.
Television footage Sunday showed a tornado at Edmond . The storm threatened a novelty soda-pop store and a historic barn in the small town of Arcadia, then grew into a larger storm as it moved northeastward a few miles north of the Turner Turnpike between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
The Storm Prediction Center had forecast a moderate risk of severe weather in Oklahoma and adjacent portions of Kansas and Missouri.
TV video also showed power flashes from transformers blowing out as they were hit by high winds or debris.
