Norman Gets Ready for OU v. ND
NORMAN, OK -- Oklahoma will host Notre Dame this Saturday at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
At seven o'clock OU expects the stadium will be full of screaming fans wearing alternating crimson and cream in odd and even sections.
It's what happens before kick off, though, that has police calling in extra officers and ticket brokers working overtime.
Capt. Tom Easley with Norman Police says at least 50 officers will be on game day duty either on intersections along Lindsey leading to the stadium or at the stadium itself. Capt. Easley says the bomb squad will perform a security sweep of the stadium before the game and the swat team will be on standby.
Tickets Unlimited in Norman says last minute tickets are selling anywhere from $200-$1100. The problem, though, is most ticket holders aren't selling.
Coming up on the Primetime News at Nine, why OU says this game may be the most highly anticipated in the last thirty years.

Okla. court upholds life sentence in uncle's death
May 17, 2013 21:34 GMT
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An Oklahoma appeals court has upheld the life prison sentence of a 38-year-old man who was convicted of first-degree murder for shooting his uncle to death.
The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals handed down the decision Friday in the case of Patrick Shane Yargee. A jury in Tulsa County found Yargee guilty in the 2010 shooting death of 48-year-old David Willie Harjo.
Authorities alleged that Yargee shot Harjo eight times in a residence in northern Tulsa. Reports filed in the case indicate that the two men had an argument involving a woman before the shooting.
The five-judge court unanimously rejected Yargee's claims that he was denied a fair trial.
Yargee's defense attorney, Stuart Southerland of the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office, did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.
