Suspects Identified in Luther Wildfires
The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday it had identified suspects in the Luther wildfire, and submitted
the case to the State Attorney General's Office.
Someone intentionally set the fires in Luther on August 3, leading to wildfires that burned nearly 2,700 acres, and damaged or destroyed 50 homes and buildings.
Investigators held a news conference Tuesday morning, saying they'd
received more than 50 tips during their two-month investigation. The
multicounty grand jury will now pick up the case, and decide whether to
indict the suspects.
The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office is not
releasing the names of the suspects yet. They are still asking anyone
with information about the case to call (405) 259-OCSO (6276).

Another storm system poised to hit Oklahoma
May 20, 2013 11:14 GMT
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma is bracing for more severe weather as another storm system takes aim at the state.
The National Weather Service says baseball-sized hail and tornadoes are possible Monday afternoon and evening in Oklahoma. Forecasters say a large section of central and eastern Oklahoma is at a moderate risk for the severe weather. The moderate risk area includes Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
The severe weather comes a day after storms pummeled Oklahoma, killing one person and injuring 21. Forecasters say Monday's scenario will look a lot like Sunday's.
The National Weather Service says emergency management personnel and storm spotters should plan for severe weather from 1 p.m. until midnight.
