National Voters Registration Day
September 25 is National Voter Registration Day. Registration drives have been set up across the state for folks to come out and register to vote.
"I have already registered at least 50 people and I have only been here 2 hours," said Arvo Mikkanen, with the Oklahoma Indian Bar Association Election Protection.
Mikkanen said the process is very simple and only takes a few minutes but many voters think their vote does not count.
"Oklahoma is such a red state. We already know what is going to happen," said one voter.
Political expert Bobby Stem says that may be the case.
"The top of the ballot, yes, that is probably decided but it's the bottom where your votes count," he said.
Stem says candidates do not even campaign here in Oklahoma because there is really no point.
"I would say little to no money at all is spent campaigning here. It really all goes to 8 undecided states. Oklahoma is not one of them."
Regardless Stem says it is still crucial to vote.
"It's your right as an American."
The lst day to register is October 13th.

Lincoln `comfort' dog headed to Oklahoma
May 22, 2013 16:45 GMT
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- A Lincoln "comfort" dog that has been to several national tragedy sites this year is now in Oklahoma to help victims cope with the devastation caused by a massive tornado.
Lincoln television station KOLN-TV reports (http://bit.ly/11aPCT0) that Moses has been sent to comfort those affected by the Boston bombings, a West Texas explosion and school shootings in Newtown, Conn.
Moses is part of Lutheran Church Charities National K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry.
Pastor Glen Keylon says Moses provides a lot of relief to people -- especially children -- when they are able to pet him during a tough time.
The massive tornado that tore through Moore, Okla., on Monday killed 24 -- including 10 children -- and injured more than 200.
