Sex offender compound filing lawsuit
Hand Up Ministries, a compound that houses sex offenders in Southeast Oklahoma City, is facing the possibility of having to shut down. Before a new law went into effect July 1, 2012, three men were allowed to live in each trailer on the compound. However, the new law only allows for one sex offender per living space. Because of this, Hand Up Ministries says many of the sex offenders had to leave, and are now living in tents throughout the city. Hand Up has now hired a new lawyer, who plans to challenge the law with a lawsuit. Tonight at nine, Fox 25's Kisha Henry will show you on what grounds they are challenging the law and an inside look where cameras have never been allowed before. Hand Up Ministries allows Fox 25 free reign of the entire compound.

MOORE, Okla. (AP) -- The people of the Oklahoma town where a deadly tornado struck could use just about everything -- cleaning supplies, food, water, shelter.
Thirteen-year-old Halle Carr thought residents of her hometown could also use a hug after the twister Monday that killed 24 people in Moore.
Halle has been standing on a corner with a white sign that reads: "Need a hug? I am here!" And people are taking her up on the offer.
On Friday, people in work trucks, cars and vans loaded with belongings rolled down their windows and reached out their arms to the girl. Some shouted words of encouragement.
Halle said it makes her feel good to spread a little cheer. She said she'll come out every day, as long as she thinks she's needed.
