U.S. Marshals and the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office Seek Fugitive
U.S. Marshals and the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office are looking for Timothy Curtis Peterson. He is wanted on several charges. On September 10, 2009 in Muskogee County, Peterson assaulted his 70 year old grandfather and left him for dead. Peterson robbed his grandfather and stole his truck. The grandfather was found the following day with a concussion, broken nose, broken leg and arm. The grandfather was in the hospital for several weeks. Peterson is also a sex offender who brutally raped and forcibly sodomized a 7 year old girl in 2000. Anyone with information should call the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office at 918-348-5075 or the U.S. Marshal’s Office at 918-687-2523. There is a $2,500.00 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of Timothy Peterson.

Okla. highways reopened after Moore tornado

MOORE, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma highway officials say Interstate 35 in Moore has reopened in both directions.
But the Transportation Department said late Monday that travel in the Moore area was still discouraged.
The agency said first responders, utility crews and others performing official duties are working in the area and need clear lanes of travel.
The department says no other highways are closed due to the storms.
