Competency Trial to Resume in Tulsa Shooting Case
TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A mental competency hearing is set to resume for a man accused of opening fire outside a Tulsa courthouse.
The hearing for Andrew Dennehy began Monday and is expected to last until at least Wednesday. Dennehy is charged with shooting with intent to kill for allegedly opening fire March 7 on the plaza between the Tulsa County courthouse and the Tulsa Central Library. A sheriff's deputy, a bystander and Dennehy were hurt during the gunfire exchange.
Dennehy's attorney, Allen Smallwood, argues that his client isn't mentally competent to stand trial. A psychologist retained by the defense believes Dennehy exhibited psychotic delusions and doesn't currently have the capacity to help his lawyers.
But prosecutor Tony Evans told jurors that Dennehy is trying to "bluff his way through life."

Search continues in creek for missing Okla. teen
May 25, 2013 22:59 GMT
KINGFISHER, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities continue to search for a Kingfisher teenager who disappeared after jumping into Uncle John Creek.
Police say 17-year-old Taylor Faine jumped into the creek Thursday and did not resurface. Kingfisher Fire Chief Randy Poindexter told The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/10s2oB6 ) on Saturday that manmade dams have been built in hopes of finding Faine's body.
Authorities say Faine was swimming with friends in an area where no swimming signs are in place because of dangerous currents in the creek.
