Noble Fire Moving Quickly
UPDATE: The fire is still moving North. Several structures have burned but the exact number is unknown. Even more people have been evacuated. Officials do not know how long it will be until people are allowed back in the area.
UPDATE: The Norman Police Department has shut down State Highway 9 between 84th and 168th.
UPDATE: The Oklahoma Emergency Management PIO, Kelly Cain, confirms that as many as 25 homes have been destroyed.
UPDATE: The fire is no where near contained. Cleveland Co. confirms that several homes have been damaged. Officials are asking that people stay out of the area for safety. Up to two dozen people are currently at the evacuation center.
UPDATE: The National Guard is on scene of the fire with two helicopters helping to fight the fires. Several people have been in and out of the evacuation center at Noble City Hall. The Red Cross has a phone sign-up sheet where they will contact you with the status of your house.
Noble City Hall has been designated an evacuation shelter. At least one helictopter has joined the fight, both by dropping water and by offering an aerial assessment of the blaze. Evacuation at 144th Avenue and Etowah Road The fire, driven by 14 mile per hour wind, is running north and south about three miles between from Cemetery north to Post Oak, generally moving toward Lake Thunderbird.

Civil Air Patrol helps asses Okla. tornado damage

MOORE, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma Civil Air Patrol Wing is helping the Federal Emergency Management Agency by going door-to-door to help assess damage from the killer tornado that struck Moore.
Lt. Col. Dave Roberts says the work began Wednesday to photograph the estimated 12,00 homes damaged by the tornadoes in Moore and south Oklahoma City.
He says the CAP has been taking an average of 500 photos per day and hopes to triple that amount Saturday with the addition of more volunteers.
