Edmond Fraudulent Debit Card Use
On 7-20-12 a person from South Carolina made a report with the Edmond Police Department to say that an unknown suspect had somehow obtained his prepaid Visa debit card information and placed that information on a duplicate card. The person in South Carolina still has the original card. The suspect used the fraudulent duplicate card for 6 purchases and then used 2 other cards for an additional 4 transactions. There are no other reports at this time that the 2 other cards (4 transactions) were fraudulent, but most likely they were. The same suspect made all of the transactions on 7-20-12 at approximately 1330 hours at the Wal Mart Super Center located at 2200 W. Danforth. Most of the transactions were for Wal Mart gift cards. The suspect appears to be a w/m, around 5’ 09” and 170 lbs in his 30s with very short brown hair. He was seen leaving in what appears to be a red Pontiac Grand Am. Any information can be given to Detectives at 359-4336.

Teen in devastated Okla. town handing out hugs
May 25, 2013 02:26 GMT
MOORE, Okla. (AP) -- The people of the Oklahoma town where a deadly tornado struck could use just about everything -- cleaning supplies, food, water, shelter.
Thirteen-year-old Halle Carr thought residents of her hometown could also use a hug after the twister Monday that killed 24 people in Moore.
Halle has been standing on a corner with a white sign that reads: "Need a hug? I am here!" And people are taking her up on the offer.
On Friday, people in work trucks, cars and vans loaded with belongings rolled down their windows and reached out their arms to the girl. Some shouted words of encouragement.
Halle said it makes her feel good to spread a little cheer. She said she'll come out every day, as long as she thinks she's needed.
