Colorado Shooting Sparks Renewed Gun Debate

The shootings that left at least 12 people dead at a movie
theater in Colorado
have some Oklahomans concerned about their safety.  People who spoke with Fox 25 outside movie
theaters around the metro say the shooting won’t stop them from going to the
movies, but it does make them think twice about being able to ever fully relax
again while watching a movie.

The shooting has again started a national debate over gun
rights and gun control.  Some people Fox
25 spoke to headed into movies say they think theaters should enact tighter
restrictions on what you can bring into the movies to help prevent guns from
being allowed inside.  However gun advocates
in Oklahoma City
say criminals will always break laws designed to control guns.  Miles Hall, owner of H
& H Gun Range, says removing guns from an area only takes
away the rights of people to defend themselves in situations like the shooting
in Colorado.  Hall says Oklahoma’s concealed-carry laws are an
important step people can take to make sure they are in control of their family’s
safety.  Hall believes no gun law can
prevent bad people from doing bad things.

Okla. grand jury returns new charges on ex-judge
May 23, 2013 23:32 GMT

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma's multicounty grand jury has returned new indictments against a former Lincoln County judge who already faces embezzlement and cattle theft charges.

The grand jury handed up the indictments Thursday against 47-year-old Craig S. Key of Chandler.

Key turned himself in last month to Lincoln County authorities who set bond at $10,000.

One indictment accuses Key of harboring a fugitive by allegedly encouraging a client facing criminal charges in Lincoln and Jefferson counties to flee the state to avoid prosecution.

Another charges Key with five counts of delivery of a forged note and accuses him of forging the name of a woman whose signature was required on escrow account checks that Key was also required to sign.

Key's attorney, Cheryl Ramsey of Stillwater, says the additional indictments are no surprise.
