Parmelee Elementary to be Open Monday
Parmelee Elementary School will be open Monday after tests deemed the air quality safe.
According to The Department of Labor, the elementary is safe to occupy.
The school is currently under MAPS for Kids renovations. During renovation last week, a crew tore up old tile, sending dust particles into the air.
On Feb. 28, The Department of Labor came in for inspection and was concerned that the air quality was compromised.
The school district took precautionary action and immediately relocated students to the rec center across the street from the school. Officials will conducted air samples Feb. 28 and March 1. School was closed March 1.
