Shooting Leaves Two People Dead After Record Release Party
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK-- Two people are dead after an early morning shooting in Northwest Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City Police say the shooting happened at about 2:45 AM near "The Pulse" Event Center on the 6900-block of Northwest Expressway.
"I just saw lots of ambulances, it was pretty crazy," said Leroy Richardson, who passed by the scene as he walked home from work, "and they were just shooting down there really fast."
Lt. Gamille Hardin of Oklahoma City Police Department says two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, one other victim was transported to an area hospital. Hardin says the third victim is in good condition, but did not release any names.
Hardin says there was an altercation inside "The Pulse" before the shooting happened. She says there was a record release party at the event center. Several gunshots were fired in the parking lot after the party.
The gunshots left several bullet holes in the window of a beauty supply store next to "The Pulse."
"We hear gunshots quite a bit, but no killings," said Patrick Calloway, a neighbor who heard the commotion as police searched for a gunman.
Police tell Fox-25 the suspected gunman is still on the loose. Hardin says the suspect took off from the scene in what appeared to be a small white Mercedes.
