Lakers Hire Mike D'Antoni as New Head Coach
The Los Angeles Lakers announced Monday morning that they signed former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni to replace Mike Brown as head coach.
D'Antoni's deal is for four years, his agent, Warren LeGarie, confirmed to late Sunday night.
Sources confirmed a Los Angeles Times report that D'Antoni quickly
agreed to coach the Lakers after L.A.'s weekend of negotiations to bring
back Phil Jackson broke down.
The Lakers said they plan to hold a press conference most likely on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Search continues in creek for missing Okla. teen

KINGFISHER, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities continue to search for a Kingfisher teenager who disappeared after jumping into Uncle John Creek.
Police say 17-year-old Taylor Faine jumped into the creek Thursday and did not resurface. Kingfisher Fire Chief Randy Poindexter told The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/10s2oB6 ) on Saturday that manmade dams have been built in hopes of finding Faine's body.
Authorities say Faine was swimming with friends in an area where no swimming signs are in place because of dangerous currents in the creek.
