OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A powerful storm is expected to bring heavy snow and strong winds to Oklahoma and other parts of the southern Plains on the first day of spring.
Forecasters are expecting blizzard conditions Saturday, with winds of up to 35 mph that could create large snow drifts and make driving hazardous.
This weekend's men's and women's NCAA tournament games in Oklahoma City and Norman are expected to be played, as scheduled. But officials say the storm could affect attendance.
The National Weather Service says up to 10 inches of snow is possible for Oklahoma and 6 to 12 inches of snow is possible for parts of Kansas.
