Murder-suicide ruled in Wagoner couple's death
WAGONER, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities in Wagoner County say the deaths of a husband and wife last week appear to be a murder-suicide.
Kelly Kay Owens and Curtis Dwayne Owens were found dead last Thursday by Kelly Owens' father. Sheriff Bob Colbert tells the Muskogee Phoenix (http://is.gd/KYHoZd ) that it appears the couple died the night before.
Colbert says investigators determined that Curtis Owens shot his wife before killing himself with a self-inflicted gunshot.
The sheriff's office says it had no prior reports of domestic violence between the couple.
The deaths remain under investigation.
