    The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Detroit Pistons 112-111 to secure the second seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

The bad news occurred in the first half when Thunder guard Russell Westbrook banged  knees with Raptor's guard Kyle Lowery. Westbrook, who has missed big portions of the season due to knee problems, had to leave the game and did not return. The team is calling it a knee sprain. No word on if he'll miss game action or how long he could be out.

    The Thunder's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday continued a trend of giving up points in bunches. Lakers guard Jodie Meeks scored a career high 42 points to lead the Lakers with 20 of those points coming in the third quarter.

    Liggins was a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder but was released in September after he was charged with domestic abuse in the presence of a minor. He has been playing for Sioux Falls, which is the Miami Heat's D-League team.

    The Oklahoma City Thunder were not able to convince Mike Miller to sign a contract with the team. Miller has signed a two year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies.

    Oklahoma City had been competing with Memphis, Denver and Houston for Miller's services.

    Miller was amnestied last week by the Miami Heat, where he helped the Heat win the last two NBA Championships.

    It's Miller's second stint in Memphis where he won 6th Man of the Year in the 2005-06 season.
